Birthday Dinner

Aussie surprised me by making me dinner for my birthday!

Flowers, candles, and wine…

Plus a really attractive chef (I mean, seriously — look at those smile lines!!)…

Plus the kind of attention to detail that makes it extra special…

Made for an incredible meal! Salmon with chard and lentils (recipe from Cooking for Two 2010) on a bed of black quinoa, plus some prawns for good measure…

…finished off with some Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream (mostly a la Alton Brown), courtesy of my new ice cream maker and a heck of a lot of stirring!

So very delicious! Thanks, baby!
