Or is it? My boyfriend hates this phrase. He thinks it’s an American cop-out, a way of giving up. Me, I think it’s a way of getting over “it” so you can get onto dealing with “it.”
But that’s not really what this blog is about. Here, I choose to tackle “it” as a different entity. “It” is whatever happens to be coursing through my brain at any given moment, a stream of consciousness, if you will, whatever happens to be sucking up the importance in my life and mind. Incredibly self-centered, I know, but then again — isn’t a blog inherently egotistical?
But I digress. Here’s what you can expect to find in this blog:
*Tales of my adventures, travels, WTF moments, and assorted day-to-day happenings.
*My escapades and narrow escapes as a real-life incarnation of a disaster zone.
*My struggles, attempts, and plans to maintain the 80 lbs (oops — 72 now!) that I’ve lost over the past two years.
*My internet finds — crafty, hilarious, whatever.
*My thoughts, advice, musings, and rants on relationships, work, friendships, skin care, or whatever other soapbox I feel like mounting.
*Recipes, photos, etc.
*And more, as my little heart desires!
I promise I won’t post any memes or 10-zillion-questions-about-ME type things. Other than that, it’s fair game.
So who’s excited? Honestly, I am. I have all these ideas of things I can post about… photos of luscious and nutritious dinners I lovingly cooked for my lover and myself, links to beautiful hand-made items found on etsy.com, rave reviews about the skin care product I just tried and loved, musings on financial responsibility, polls on what your boyfriend/husband/lover/SO does that rubs you the wrong way… you get the picture.
What will “it” be next? You guess is as good as mine!
